President, CEO and Co-Founder
Although her first love may have been for modern dance, Joanne Lefebvre pursued her studies in art, marketing and management. After graduating from the Université du Québec à Montréal with a degree in business management, she gained solid experience as vice-president of client services for one of Montreal’s most recognized firms, before founding Paprika in 1991.
The agency’s talent was quickly recognized and has earned it over 800 awards, a book published by Pyramid highlighting their work, an exhibition in Paris, etc. The agency’s expertise is also recognized internationally, and Joanne was invited to sit on the jury for the 96th ADC Awards in 2017, the One-Show Design Awards in 2019 and Applied Arts 2021, in addition to chairing the IDEA design jury in 2022.
Joanne is actively involved in the management and business development of the agency. She oversees project management, including national and international campaigns. She also acts as a strategic consultant for brand and platform development. Her unique ability to carefully balance strategic and creative management ensures that her talented team of designers is always challenged, inspired and encouraged to push the boundaries of their creativity. It is for all of these reasons that Joanne was named one of the 2017 Infopresse Personalities of the Year.
