Anja Bauer Minkara

Founder, Brand Strategy and Creative Director, Fabular

Anja Bauer Minkara is founder, brand strategy and creative director of Fabular, the specialized branding agency that creates unique brand stories to inspire positive change.

Her work has helped organizations build emotional ties with their customers through relevant, differentiated stories focused on their desired experiences. Her results-driven work has guided the transition of brands from small, local players to international businesses.

Prior to establishing Fabular, Anja led Brandoctor for over 14 years. The agency was a highly respected and globally recognized firm with such clients as Froddo, Stina, and Stories. Before her leadership role at Brandoctor, she held positions at Audi in Birmingham, UK and BBDO in Zagreb, Croatia.

Anja is the author of the unique methodology, The Eight Ingredients that Build the Brand™, which details the essential checklist brands must apply to prosper. The ingredients simplify the brand-building process with a proprietary formula that can be implemented to develop a strong purpose for brands with  marketplace impact. In addition, her series of articles on brand strategy is referenced by business and design leaders.

She has received numerous awards recognizing her winning results for clients. Some of these include the REBRAND 100® Global Awards, Benchmarks, Red Dot, Art Directors Club New York, and Design Week London. Her agency’s brand consultants were recently inducted in the inaugural REBRAND Hall of Fame for Branding Excellence Worldwide.

Anja holds a BA in English language and English and American Literature as well as an MA in Marketing Communications from Bournemouth University. She credits this solid background for helping her strengthen two of her innate strong points: the analytical and the creative. Successfully applying these skills, combined with her experience with business strategy, has led to her creation of effective brand stories, names, and slogans. That background has also steered her work with a diverse range of designers with whom she has received international acclaim.
