EMEA Brand Strategy & Design Operations
UK – EMEA
Labaika Ashiru is currently Senior Design Manager – EMEA (Europe Middle East Africa) at Kimberly-Clark, where he leads the Baby and Child Care Design for that region. The EMEA Design function is still new for the global consumer goods brand, making this challenging role one that leverages his talent for structuring and integrating design and management skills. Those skills are well applied in collaborating to develop and implement desired design strategies that drive marketplace success.
Prior to joining Kimberly-Clark, Labaika spent the previous decade in senior positions at London-based Zoffany, Sanderson, Morris & Co. in the UK and with Procter & Gamble and Kellogg’s in Geneva, Switzerland. The foundation for his design leadership and management success was established through his early work experience at the renowned Philips Design group and solid education in Design and Design Management.
Throughout his career, Labaika’s multi-cultural background has been invaluable. At Kimberly-Clark in particular, he brings a unique perspective to identifying and directing the best design partners for the EMEA markets working on brands such as Huggies®, Pull-Ups®, Drynites® and Little Swimmers®. This is done while providing world-class design support across the region and helping to put together the right processes and trainings to produce superior, sustainable business results.
Labaika holds a Master’s Degree in Design Management from University of the Arts in London. After his design undergraduate from Georgia State University and Postgraduate from the Portfolio Centre in Atlanta, he chose to transition his success as a Design practitioner and entrepreneur to his current Design leadership position.
In his 17 years of design, managerial and mentoring experience, he has led holistic design creation, maintenance and strategy for several well known global brands.
